These Sienna vans are really popular family vehicles, and it don't take much or a whole lot of time for the insides to fill up fast. That's exactly where the carrier is going to come into play. You're going to be able to take all that stuff from the inside, throw it back here and make your life a little more comfortable, especially on them long trips. So in my opinion, after just looking at the carrier on the back of the Sienna for a minute, it seems like it's just about the perfect size. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese hitch-mounted cargo carrier on our 2019 Toyota Sienna, and what we're going to do in this video is just go over some features of the carrier, see how it interacts with our vehicle, and then I'm going to give you my two cents on this carrier specifically. So let's get started.So initially, it is going to be a true 24 by 60, and these rails here are going to stick up about five and a half inches. It is all going to be made of steel, and we're going to get about 500 pounds of carrying capacity with this carrier. You will need to have a two inch hitch receiver to be able to use this product.So let's go over just some of the things I kind of like, one is just the mesh bottom, just because if you have wet gear or even if you're driving in the rain, it's not going to just sit in there and just kind of puddle up, and maybe rust stuff away. We have a nice powder coated finish that'll help prevent that, but this floor is going to do most of it. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Toyota Sienna- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com.Today on our 2011 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer hitch mounted cargo carrier.Cargo carrier's going to help you get a couple of different things done. Can either carry some additional cargo that you normally couldn't fit on the inside, or you can take all the stuff that you do normally carry inside, put it outside, freeing up some more space for family and friends.This actually is one of the bigger carriers available, which is a good thing, being that the Sienna is typically more of a family vehicle. And those owners have a lot of stuff to carry around.It's going to measure 24 inches long, 60 inches wide, and 5 and a half inches deep, which is going to be plenty big enough to fit on those full size coolers, camping gear, sporting equipment, whatever you may have.Now our carrier is going to extend the overall length of our van. By exactly how much, we'll take a measurement. From the bumper to the edge of the rack, it's going to be about 32 inches. That's something to keep in mind whenever you're pulling into your garage or even into a tight parking spot.Now as far as the ground clearance here at the back of the carrier, from our lowest point to the ground is right at 13 inches, which isn't super high up, but it's also not very far down. more

A cargo carrier is going to help us out with a couple of different things. Malone Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota Sienna- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Toyota Sienna we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hitch King cargo carrier for 2" hitches, part number MPG906. This does have a carrying capacity of 500 pounds and it measures 60" long by 19" wide by 2" tall. It has this nice mesh floor at the base here so it's not going to hold water and it's going to be easy to clean as well. Around the edge here you can see these points. That's going to be your tie down points for either your bungee cords or your ratchet straps.With it in this position I'd like to give you a couple quick measurements. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outermost edge we've added about 26" to the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Sienna we're going to be test fitting the 24 by 60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches. Part number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds, enables you to carry your sports equipment or camping gear outside of your vehicle to make more space on the inside for you and your family. It has this nice mesh floor here on the bottom, that's going to make it a little bit easier to clean. We also have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier, and that can serve as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna minivan, we will be test fitting the 23 by 56 Rola Dart cargo carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 450 pound holding capacity, part number 59550. We will start by taking the shank of the rack and installing it into the hitch. Well line up the pin holes and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it down with a wrench. To finish it off, we will secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed and in the upright position, we have about 8 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the basket to the van is about 2 1/2 inches away and we've added in about an additional 11 inches in length to our van. We can then pull our handle on the top of our basket, allowing it to set down in its lowered position. With the basket in the lowered position, we have about 14 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point of the basket to the van is about 4 1/2 inches. more

We will start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch. We will then thread in the bolt, tighten it down with a wrench, and secure it with the clip on the other side. With the rack installed, we have about 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The nearest from the rack to the car is about 1 inch away, and we've added about 20 inches additional overall length to the van. When opening the rear hatch, the door breaks about 13-1/2 inches over the rack. That will conclude today's test fit of the 17 x 46 Curt cargo carrier, part number C18145, on a 2014 Toyota Sienna. . more

Pro Series Solo Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna Minivan, well be test fitting the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Rack for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound capacity, part number PS1040100. We will start by taking the shank of the rack and installing it into the hitch. Well line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with the clip. With the rack installed, we have about 18 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point from the rack to the van is about 6 inches, and weve added about 38-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. Now thats worth noting, when opening the rear hatch door of our van, the door brakes over the rack at about 14-1/2 inches. more

To install the rack we'll take the shank of the rack and install it into the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin, and secure it with a clip. With the rack installed we have about 12 inches of ground clearance, nearest point from the rack to the van is about 3 inches, and we've added about an additional 25 inches of length to the van. When opening the rear hatch on our toyota the door breaks about 16 inches above the rack. That will conclude today's test fit of the 20 by 47 Max Tow cargo carrier, part number MT70108, on our 2014 Toyota Sienna. . more

Curt Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna- Video
Speaker: Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna, we will be test fitting the 19 by 60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound capacity, part number C18100. We will start by inserting the shank of the basket into the hitch. We will then line up the holes, insert the pin and the clip. As you can see, with the rack in the upright position, it sits extremely close to the vehicle. The distance from the van to the rack will vary depending upon your hitch and it may impact the vehicle during travel. With the basket installed on the vehicle and in the upright position, we have about 8 inches of ground clearance, about inch distance from the basket to the vehicle and weve added about 6 inches to the overall length of the van. We can now remove the silver pin at the bottom of the rack and fold it down, reinstalling the pin and securing it with the clip. With the rack folded down, we now have about 11 inches of ground clearance. more

Pro Series Solo Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 I Inch Hitches part number PS1040100. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After securing with the pin and clip, we'll go over a couple clearance measurements. At the back of the carrier, we have about 14 1/2 inches of ground clearance, closes part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 6 1/2 inches and we've added about 39 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. Now the exhaust in this model does that to the passenger side and faces downward about 12 1/4 inches away, therefore, it would be all right carrying heat sensitive materials on this rack. Now the cargo door does beak over the surface of the cargo carrier at about 13 1/4 of an inch, this mean you can carry items up to this height and still be able to fully open rear hatch. And that would complete today's test fit for the Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier part number PSs1040100 on our 2013 Toyota Sienna. . more

Male: Today, on our 2013 Toyota Sienna we'll be test fitting the curt 19x60 Aluminum Cargo Carrier part number C18100. We will begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. As can you see in the folded up position, the carrier can not be installed as it hits the road bumper. We'll pull this over pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the platform down. We will then continue to slide the shank into hitch and secure it with a pin and clip. With the carrier secure, we will go over few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 and three quarters inches of ground clearance. more

We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After securing it with the pin and clip, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We have about 10 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 1 3/4 inch away. We've added about 21 1/4 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. The exhaust on this model does exit on the passenger side and faces downward about 8 1/2 inches away. more

Curt Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier part number C18132. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. As you can see the carrier will not work in the folded up position as it hits the rear bumper. We'll pull the silver pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the platform down. We'll then continue to slide the shank into the hitch and secure it with the pin and clip. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna we'll be test fitting the twenty by sixty rear cargo carrier from Curt part number C18131. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. As you can see in the folded up position the carrier will not work as it hits the rear bumper so we'll pull the silver pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the platform down. We'll then continue to slide the shank in to the opening of the hitch and secure it with the pin and clip. With the carrier secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about sixteen and three quarters inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closes part of the vehicle is about three and three quarters of an inch away. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna we'll be test fitting the seventeen by forty six Curt Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches rated at 500 pounds part number C18145. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier in to the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in the anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. With the carrier secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about ten and a half inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about one inch away and we've added about twenty and a half inches to the overall length of our Sienna. Now the exhaust on this model does exit the passenger side and faces downward about nine inches away therefore would be okay to carry heat sensitive materials on this carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna we'll be test fitting the 24 by 60 railed cargo carrier from Circo, part number 52018. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After securing it with the pin and clip, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about a quarter of an inch away, and we've added about 26 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. Now the exhaust on this model does exit the passenger side about five inches away from the carrier; therefore, I would use caution when carrying heat sensitive items. Now the cargo door does break over the surface of the carrier at about 12 1/2 inches. more

Today on our 2011 Toyota Sienna well be test fitting the Surco 24 inch by 60 inch cargo carrier, part number 52018. To mount this carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up the hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with the standard five eighths inch pin and clip. Now well go over a handful of clearance measurements. Weve got about 12 inches of ground clearance at the rear of our cargo carrier and about a half an inch of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of our bumper. Overall weve added about 26 and a half inches of length to the rear of our vehicle. more

We won't be able to use the carrier in the folded-up position due to inadequate clearance for the bumper. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 18 and a half inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier and about 10 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the bumper. more

Today, on our 2012 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Curt folding aluminum cargo carrier, part number C18100. Now, there's not enough bumper clearance to use this carrier in its upright position so we'll just use it as a flat carrier. To mount the carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the hitch pinholes and secure the carrier using a standard 5/8-inch pinning clip. Next, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 13 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier and about six inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the bumper. Overall, we've added about 26 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle. more
